Jean Parnell Schram

Jean Parnell Schram, 78, died Monday, November 27, 2023, at UNC Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Andrew Schram as they were married for 48 years. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah S. Haywood, son-in-law Chris Haywood and her granddaughter, Sarah Jeanette Haywood of Eastover, NC.  Jean lived in Fayetteville, NC and retired after 30 years with Carolina Telephone.  

Jean was born on June 29, 1945, in Fayetteville, NC and her mother Leila S. Parnell preceded her in death.  Her surviving brothers are Ray B. Parnell and wife, Sylvia of Zebulon, North Carolina and Larry M. Parnell and wife, Barbara preceding her in death of Fayetteville, NC. Her surviving nieces and nephews are Ray Parnell Jr., Kimberly Parnell Maynor and husband, Adam, Randy Parnell, Crystal Smith and husband, Brandon and Larry Parnell Jr. and wife, Haley. She is also survived by her loving caregiver and best friend, Jovita Sanchez.

Her life will be celebrated with services at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home in Fayetteville, NC.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 12:30pm – 1:45pm and the funeral will be immediately after in the Rogers and Breece Chapel on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 2pm. Songs will be by Susan Canady.  Services will be by Deborah S. Haywood and Pastor Joe Sneed. Pall Bearers will be Kelly Freeman; Chris Hudson; Raul Sanchez, Randy Parnell; Ray Parnell Jr. Chris Pickett; Brandon Smith; Frank Snow.  Final honoring services will be at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
