James “Jim” Russell Lacy, 83, went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Wickshire Creeks Crossing in Raeford, NC.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Elva (Montross) Lacy, and his brother, Donald Lacy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his spouse, Claire; children, Debra Tipton and husband, William, Russell Lacy, and Robert Lacy and wife, Carla all of California; stepchildren, Anthony Mahosky, Yvonne Burdick and husband, Robert, Diane Ostrom, Michaline Bowen and husband, James, and David Mahosky and wife, Rochelle; and 21 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and his nephew.
Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, on August 10, 1939, Jim was a kind and generous man. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Jim served as a Firefighter Captain for the City of Huntington Beach, Ca, retiring after 31 years of service.
There are no formal services to be held. A private family interment will take place at a future date at Oakwood Cemetery in Mansfield, PA.
