James Brian Rose

James Brian Rose, 67, of Fayetteville passed away on October 5, 2024. Born on February 3, 1957, to the late, Frances L. Rose and Keith L. Rose.

James was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, John, Patrick, and Timothy. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Susan L. Rose; sons, Brian P. (Shannon) Rose, Adam H. Rose, his grandson, Andrew James Rose, and his grand dogs, Murphy and Ralph.

James graduated from Terry Sanford High School and from East Carolina University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration.

His career began at PWC where he was in administration for 31 years until his retirement, he then became vice president with Broadwell Land Company.  

James left his mark that can be seen all over the City of Fayetteville, he supervised the construction of the Robert C. Williams building, and the PWC Campus off Old Wilmington Road. He was also very involved with the Military Business Park.

James had a passion for golf and would play anywhere, anytime! He also enjoyed tending to his garden and yard and loved spending time at the beach.

He was a proud supporter of the ECU Athletics; he could be seen cheering on football and baseball teams.

James loved the Lord and was a lifelong member of St Patrick Catholic Church. James loved his family dearly.

A visitation service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at St Patrick Catholic Church from 11:30 to 12:45 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 1 pm with Deacon Vince Mescall presiding.
