James Hemingway Obituary

James R. Hemingway, 88, passed away at home on April 1st, 2021.

James was preceded in death by his parents Herman Bradley Hemingway Sr. and Leola Faircloth Hemingway; his brother Robert L. Hemingway; his sister Martha Irene Hemingway Pate and Herman Bradley Hemingway Jr.

He is survived by his wife Lucille "Lucy" Hemingway, Linda Hemingway Kerr and husband Ronald, Sharon Hemingway Lewis and husband James, Barbie Hemingway and son Shawn James Bradley Gamble; 4 nieces, one nephew, four great-nephews and 2 great nieces.

James was well loved by his friends and family and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 5th, 2021 at New Life Baptist Church in Fayetteville. A visitation will be held beforehand from 12:30 to 1:45pm. A burial will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park West on Thursday, April 8th, 2021 at 1:00pm.
