Izayah Treye Rypdahl

Izayah Rypdahl, 15, passed away January 10, 2026, at UNC Chapel Hill.

Izayah is survived by his mother & father, Tessa Rypdahl and Timothy Belcher; his great-grandmother, Lela Pate; his grandmother, Cynthia Puckett, his aunt, Cheyenne Pate; his aunt & uncle, James & Amanda Puckett; his great aunts, Miriam Pate & Kim Matone; his cousins, Jayce & Carter Puckett, Raymond Joseph Kulwicki III,  Elena, Ram & Mia Maldonado, Mike & Caleb Kinsaul, Luke & Charlie Kinsaul, Hayden & Julius Escalera, and Robert Rocha.

He is also survived by his grandparents, Frank & Kim Belcher; his aunt & uncle, Jennifer & Ben Porter; his uncle Sean Belcher; and his cousins, Ava Porter, Sean Jr., Khloe & Bailey Belcher, and all his loving friends.

Izayah is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Julius Pate Jr; his great aunt, Donna Rocha; his Uncle, Matt Gleason; and his great-grandparents, Leon & Edna Cummings.
