Hester Loyd "Tommy" McFayden, Jr.

Mr. Hester Lloyd "Tommy" McFayden Jr., 78, of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018.

Hester was preceded in death by his sister Judy Everette and his brother Charles McFayden.  

He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda Gasaway McFayden of the home; one son, Lynn McFayden and wife Lynda of Fayetteville; two stepdaughters, Lovell Casiero of York, Penn. and Joy Thrash of Sanford; three sisters, Bobbie Sibbett of Hope Mills, Catherine Scott and Harriett Webster; two brothers, Robert "Fred" and Billy McFayden; two grandsons, Chris and Brian McFayden; and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Nina, and Brooke McFayden all of Fayetteville.

Papa, as he was called by his family was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His passion for life was construction work, gardening, Nascar and dirt track racing. His memories will be cherished by all that knew him.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Rogers and Breece Chapel with Reverend Jim Everette officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Burial will follow in the McFayden Family Cemetery, Hwy. 301 South, Fayetteville, NC.
