Helen Virginia (Dawson) Brewer

Helen Virginia Brewer, 94, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, (R) SFC Earl Eugene Brewer and her two sons, Terry William Brewer and George LaFontaine Jr.

Helen is survived by her seven daughters, Mona LaFontaine of Shallotte, NC, Connie Ladieu of St. Albans, VT, Mary Ann Goyette and husband, Carl of Richford, VT, Carolyn Kay LaFontaine of Richford, VT, Teresa Ladieu of Enosburg Falls, VT, Margie Harter and husband, Dave of Marinette, WI and Denise LaFontaine of East Berkshire, VT; her five sons, John LaFontaine and Bridgette of Richford, VT, Dennis LaFontaine and wife, Linda of Enosburg Falls, VT, Michael LaFontaine and wife, Marsha of Wade, NC, Eugene Brewer of Eagleton, OK and Richard Brewer and wife, Ann of Tom, OK; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Helen was devout Christian and an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Fayetteville. She kept busy with her many hobbies. She loved to fish, and she was an avid gardener with a green thumb and the colorful flower garden to prove it. Helen loved her family dearly and they are unarguably her legacy, she was well-loved by all who knew her.

A Mass will be celebrated in memory of Helen at noon on Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Village Drive.

A rosary prayer service will be held prior to the Mass at 11 AM.

Burial will follow at Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1000 Fairground Road, Dunn, NC.
