Harold "Ike" Isaacson Obituary

Harold “Ike” Gene Isaacson, 82, of Fayetteville passed away on July 09, 2021.

Ike was preceded in death by his son, Todd Isaacson, and brother Larry Isaacson.

Ike is survived by his loving wife Patricia Isaacson; son, Jon (Joanna) Isaacson; sister, Ann Williams; granddaughters Madison, Caroline, and Morgan Isaacson; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Ike graduated from The University of Wisconsin in 1962 and remained a loyal Badgers fan for the remainder of his life. He was also a huge Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching and cheering them on at any opportunity.

Ike served his country as a member of the United States Army for 23 years and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. While in the army, Ike served two tours in Vietnam and was stationed in Korea for an additional tour. He put his journalism degree to work during his final assignment at Fort Bragg, working as a Public Affairs Officer for 1st SOCOM. Ike received many decorations to include Meritorious Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Aviator Badge, Sr. Army Aviator Badge, RVN Air Service Medal, and an RVN Honor Medal.

After retiring from the Army, Ike worked for many years as a REALTOR alongside his wife. When not busy with work he enjoyed traveling, playing golf and spending time with family.

The family will receive friends at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Thursday, July 15th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at 5:30pm at Rogers and Breece Chapel with Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be sent to Operation Smile or the Salvation Army.
