Gilda Odom Plummer

Gilda O. Plummer, 89, of Fayetteville, NC passed away on Sept. 24, 2021 in Edenton, NC.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, and daughter Sharon.

She is survived by her son, Leonard (Lenny) B Plummer of Edenton, NC, grandchildren- Jared with wife Bryn of Greenville, NC, and Lindsay Moore of West Palm Beach, Fl, great grandchildren, Baileigh-Gray Moore, Bennett and Rhett Plummer.

Gilda, devoted wife and homemaker, was born August 7, 1932 in Rowland, NC to Monroe Bennett Odom and Margaret Stone Odom. She had 4 brothers and sisters, who preceded her in death Monroe Bennett (MB) Jr, Clara, Sylvia and Edsel. She also leaves numerous loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She worked in various civilian roles on Ft Bragg, and Ft Monroe VA over the years while her husband was Active Duty Army. She volunteered with the American Red Cross while they were deployed in Germany, as well as the Cumberland County Chapter of the American Cancer Society once moving back to Fayetteville.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 1:00pm at Lafayette Memorial Park.
