Geraldine “Geri” Rose Anderson

Geraldine “Geri” Rose Anderson, 78, of Fayetteville, NC passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023. She was born in Rocky Mount, NC. She is survived by daughter, Christine Jumalon and husband, Thomas Jumalon; daughter, Michele Givens and husband, Jim Givens; son, John Anderson and wife, Stacia Bill Anderson; daughter, Jennifer Horne and husband, Jeff Horne; daughter, Kelly Grimes and husband, Michael Grimes; son, Matthew Anderson; eight grandchildren – Kaitlyn Jumalon Dobson, Madison and Blake Horne, Ethan, Dean, Colton, Boone and Raylind Grimes; sister–in–law, Jacqueline Waddell and many beloved nieces and nephews. Geri had four honorable “daughters” - Joy Tart, Maria Pollick, Tina Gutierrez, and Elizabeth Cain.

Geri was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dean Anderson; mother, Alma Dickens and aunt, Pinkie Barham.

Geri was a faithful member of Northwood Temple Church where she was a fierce prayer warrior. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, counselor, as well as a friend to all who knew her. She lived a life full of joy with an infectious laugh. She was a Godly example for anyone who crossed her path and cared deeply for the people who were around her. She was kind, compassionate and had an impact on many lives. She will be forever missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service which will be held on June 2nd at 12:00 p.m. at Northwood Temple Church. Visitation will be held prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service to follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
