"Ret. Sergeant George Lincoln Taylor passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the age of 85.

George was born June 1, 1937 in Carter County, Tennessee, to Vivian J "Nell" Campbell and Dan Taylor, who precede him in death.

George proudly served in the United States Army for over twenty years, before becoming a correctional officer after retirement, where he worked for an additional seventeen years. George never met a stranger, making friends everywhere he went. He adored all animals, but house pets like dogs and cats were his favorite. In his free time, he enjoyed working at a bingo parlor, spending time outdoors, and especially going camping with his family.

George is survived by his wife, Jeanne M. Taylor, of the home; One daughter, Danielle Taylor, of Everett, Washington; and one son, Jack Taylor (wife Brenda) of Kernersville, North Carolina.

The family will accept visitors on Friday, June 11, from 6-8 PM at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held for Mr. Taylor on Saturday, June 12, at 12 PM, with a graveside service to follow at Lafayette Memorial Park West.
