Florinda de Castro Rabano, 79, was born on August 20, 1946, in the Philippines and peacefully left this earth on April 7, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Jesus Rabano and a woman of quiet strength, deep humility, and boundless love. She showed her love not through grand gestures, but through simple, meaningful acts that touched everyone around her. She was always so humble, often wanting to give and care for others, even insisting on treating her loved ones, her love was something we have always admired, deeply appreciated, and will forever treasure in our heart.
She has reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Jesus Rabano; her parents, Serafin and Victorina de Castro; and her nephew, Willie Nabong.
She is survived by her sister, Cora Castro of Fayetteville, North Carolina; and her brother Antonio and his wife Yolanda.
Though she had no biological children, she lovingly raised her nieces and nephews as her own. She is survived by the nieces and nephews she raised as her own children: Antoinette and husband, James Hall, along with their children, Tyler Ford and Christine Hall; Eleanor Pearson and her children, Katie and Justin Pearson; Bernadette Galang and her children, Zane and Hale Hall; Ben Galang and his wife, Melanie, along with his children, Alexis, Benjamin and Matthew Galang; John and Carla McKethan and their children, EJ, Ireyana, and Alfie McKethan; Cherubin and Bounnhang, along with their children Emma and Gabriel Keovongsy; and Charmaine Rodriguez and her children, Lilliana and Alessandro Rodriguez; as well as many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is also survived by her stepchildren and their families: Rudy and Vicky Rabano; Evelyn R. Parmenter; Raymond and Mieko Rabano; and Esther Thompson.
Florinda’s life was a reflection of love, humility, and selflessness. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her. We will miss you Tita Linda.
