First Sergeant (Ret) William Charles Eanes Obituary

First Sergeant (Ret) William C. Eanes, 60, of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. He was born on June 19, 1959 in Welch, West Virginia.

William was raised in WV and graduated from Northfolk High School in 1978. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of the 82nd Airborne, and proudly served his country for over 20 years. Following his military career, he worked as an overseas civilian contractor.

William was a brave and loyal soldier, as well as a patient and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. Those who knew and loved him will always remember the wonderful times they shared.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Marcella Eanes and his two sisters, Louise Tabor and Judi Childress.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Eanes of Fayetteville; his two sons, Justin and Eric Eanes both of Fayetteville; his sister, Barbara Fleming of Martinsville, VA, and his three grandchildren, Ayden William, Marina Angelina, and Elawin Marie.
