Faye Hester Britt

Faye Hester Britt, age 87, passed away February 3rd, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family in Hope Mills, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Freddie D. Britt; parents Floyd and Myrtle Hester; sons Freddie R. Britt and Kenneth D. Britt; Brothers Floyd and James Hester; grandson Zachery Britt.

She is survived by her daughter Wanda Arnett (Denny) of Hope Mills, NC; son Darol W. Britt (Theresa) of, South Carolina; sisters Dorothy Parker of Fayetteville, Athena Strickland of Parkton, and Arbutus Canady (Roger) of Fayetteville; grandchildren Barry Britt of Arizona, James Britt (Pua) of California, Brandy Machowski (David) of Arizona, Melissa Sibbett (Grady Jr.) of Hope Mills, NC, Jessica McKinsley (Joey) of Summerville, SC, and Jordan Britt of Dunn, NC; 16 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Faye Hester Britt was the owner and operator of Faye’s Florist for 44 years, retiring in 2010. Faye was a pastor’s wife for over 60 years. She touched the lives of many people and was loved by all.

A visitation for Faye Britt will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Monday February 6th, 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 7th, 1 PM at Refuge Pentecostal Church in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Russel Kinlaw Jr and Rev. Aaron Smith officiating.  Burial will follow at Singletary Cemetery 979 Old Boardman Hwy in Bladenboro, NC.
