Elisabeth Piller Blakney

Elisabeth Piller Blakney, 86, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024.  Elisabeth was born in Viechtach, Germany on October 24, 1937, the eighth of ten children born to Johann and Francesca Piller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Glenn Blakney, stepson, Stephen Blakney, her parents and eight of her siblings. Elisabeth is survived by her daughter, Robin  Black of Fayetteville; her sister, Theresa Binder of Germany; stepdaughter, Karen Foley (Michael) of Lenoir City, TN; stepson, Jeffrey Blakney (Kathy) of Ringold, GA; daughter-in-law, Sherri Blakney of Knoxville, TN; granddaughter, Kelsey Dietzman (Andrew) of Charlotte, NC; grandsons, Todd Blakney (Tricia) of Davenport, IA, Jordan Foley of Knoxville, TN, Bryan Blakney (Brooklyn) of Cookeville, TN;  two great-granddaughters, Charli Blakney and Aryia Blakney and many nieces and nephews .  

Elisabeth was a devoted wife, wonderful mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor. She had a true servant's heart and will be greatly missed.  

A memorial service will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 3:00pm. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 1:30 to 2:45pm.
