Edward “Eddie” Smith

 Edward “Eddie” Smith, 55, of Fayetteville parted away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023. Eddie was born on August 17, 1967, in Fayetteville, NC to Barbara Smith and the late Edward L. Smith.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father and son, Kyle Smith. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Erik Smith, and Willie Smith; mother, Barbara Smith; brother, Bryan Smith of Red Springs, NC; sister, Patricia King and husband, Raymond of Fayetteville; brother, Charles Lowery; nephew, Geoffrey Draughon, Austin Draughon, Skyler Locklear, and Teddy Lowery; Lennox Draughon, Grayson Draughon; niece, Liyla Locklear, Isabella Rodriguez; and his friend, Debbie.

Eddie went to school at Southview and East Carolina University. He worked as a security guard in New York. He worked at Kelly Springfield and in the end, he had his own painting company called, As Good As It Gets.

 Eddie was a good son and great friend, he didn’t care who or where someone came from. Eddie will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 12 to 12:45 PM. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM in the Rogers and Breece Chapel with Reverend Aaron Burlingame officiating.
