Dorothy Marie Taylor

Dorothy M. Hicks Taylor, 98, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026, in the home of her daughter.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold; her brothers Bennie & Craven; her sister, Alma; and her grandchildren, Rusty and Tory.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dr. Amanda Eastridge, and husband, Orling; her son, Harold L. Taylor and wife, Dorothy; her son, Dwight M. Taylor and wife, Linda; and her grandchildren, Scott of Tampa Fl., Duane of Reaford, NC., Courtney of Bath, NC., Anthony of Washington, NC., Jessica of Kernersville, NC., and Joshua of Cary, NC.; her 15 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and all her other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home. The family will be welcoming friends and guest prior to the celebration, starting at 10AM. Dorothy’s internment will be held at Old Bluff Cemetery (Old Bluff Church Rd. near the intersection of Sisk Culbreth Rd. in Godwin, NC.), following the Celebration of Life service.
