Donald Allen Reid

Donald Allen Reid (Donnie) passed away September 26, 2022, in Pinehurst, NC surrounded by his loving family by his side.

Born in Rocky Mount, NC on February 6, 1948, he was the son of the late Henry B. and Rosa S. Reid. He was loved and adored by his family and friends. Donnie’s ministry was his generous spirit to help others and of course his humor. They were the anchors of his personality, his very soul.

He retired from Abbott Laboratories as a senior pharmaceutical representative in 2012, after 28 years with the company. Donnie received numerous awards during his career with Abbott including the prestigious Presidents Club honor for several years.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gail of Pinehurst, NC; daughter, Laurie and husband, Tim Moore of Charlotte, NC; son, Keith A. Reid of Fayetteville, NC; and his pride and joy, his grandson, Brennan Reid Moore and granddaughter, Madelyn Abigail Moore.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 PM on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Highland Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville, with the Reverend Brandon Meadows officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall. The family requests you wear colors to celebrate Donnie’s life.
