Deborah Lane Matherly Obituary

Deborah Lane Matherly, 62, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. She was born on February 5, 1958 in Ohio to the late Dennis and Mary (Walker) Carr.

Deborah loved life, she enjoyed music, classic movies, history and was passionate about animals, especially dogs because of their ability to love unconditionally. Bird watching was another one of her hobbies. She never tired of watching them soar through the blue skies and was in awe of how God created such perfection.

Deborah also had a great sense of humor which can be seen in one of her favorite quotes, “LIVE SO YOUR PREACHER WON’T HAVE TO LIE AT YOUR FUNERAL” and according to her family and friends she did just that. Deborah will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A funeral service will be at 3 PM Sunday, September 6, 2020 in Rogers & Breece Chapel with Pastor Price officiating. The family will welcome friends prior to the service from 2 PM – 2:45 PM

Interment will be at a later date.
