David E. Vaughn, PE ,PLS

David E. Vaughn, PE ,PLS , 63, of Hope Mills, passed away May 21, 2024.

David was born January 3, 1961, in the city of Azmara, Ethiopia and a 1979 Graduate of Seventy First High School.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Everett, and Stella Vaughn. David leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved children, Blake Vaughn, Paige Kozlow and her husband, Cameron Kozlow, and Lauren Vaughn; his grandson, Ethan Vaughn and life-long love, Carla Vaughn as well as his siblings, Everett Vaughn, Richard Vaughn, Michael Vaughn, and Evelyn Murray.

David was the definition of a father. He devoted his life to his family and was full of humor and life. He loved fishing, riding horses and rocking out on the drums to Boston. He was honored to have served in the United States Airforce, where he achieved the rank of Master Sargent in 10 years and privileged to work at the prestigious, long standing Fayetteville based Engineering firm Moorman, Kizer and Reitzel for over 38 years.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 10 to 10:45 am. A funeral service will be held at 11 am in the chapel. Burial to follow the service at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.
