David Johnson Obituary

David Hector Johnson, Age 91, entered his eternal rest on June 20, 2021.
David grew up a little farm boy in Hope Mills, NC and he never lost his youthful enthusiasm for life. He served in the U.S Army and went on to follow a strong entrepreneurial spirit in creating several businesses in Fayetteville until his retirement. There were not many things he loved more than a vanilla milkshake (really anything sweet), Cool Hand Luke and westerns. However, what he did love more was his Lord, his precious Maggie Lou, even though her nose was always cold when she kissed him, his children and grandchildren and his beloved Pug, Bandit. For now, all that is left to say is "When We All Get To Heaven What A Day Of Rejoicing That Will Be".
David is preceded in death by his father, Walter Johnson, and mother, Elizabeth Johnson, as well as his father-in-law Clyde Petty, and mother-in-law, Katie Petty.
David is survived by his spouse, Marjorie Johnson; Son, David Jr. (wife Nancy), Children David III and Bobby; Son Keith (wife Lisa), children Cameron and Christopher; Daughter, Melissa “Lisa” (husband Victor) Children Cameron and Christopher; and Son Brian.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville with Dr. Bruce Martin officiating. *Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, tents are prohibited, and seating is limited. Please feel free to bring an umbrella and/or chair.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Fayetteville ASPCA or St. Jude’s Children's Hospital.
