Clyde Lowery, 81, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Robeson County, North Carolina, the oldest of many siblings, he met and married the love of his life Gloria Jean. They enjoyed 56 years of marriage together. Admired by everyone who knew him, Clyde was an unparalleled man, known for being honorable, strong, gentle, loving, handsome, and immensely proud of his family. Above all, he was fully devoted to serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was the best Dad, Papa, Brother, Friend, and Pastor, and he will be greatly missed.
Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Lowery; their children, Wade and Daniel Clyde; his son-in-law, Benny Traylor; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Lowery; his parents, Rosalie Lowery, Martha and Eugene Stebbins, and Willie Albert Chavis; his siblings, Bobby, Raymond, Eugene Jr., Evon, Dexter, Donald, Judy, and Rayburn.
Clyde is survived by his children, Rosalie Traylor, Kimberly Gebert, and Matthew Lowery; his siblings, Marie, Virginia, Robert, Yvonne, Johnny, Jackie, and Josie; his sons-in-law Joseph Gebert and Andrew Faircloth; his grandchildren Adam and his wife Fallon, Sarah and her husband James, Hannah and her husband Chris, Rachel and her husband Jason, Seth, Kirstin and her husband Raven, Matthew, Linda, Abigail, and Sophia; and his great-grandchildren, Abraham, Benny, Vera, Maren, Soteria, Hugh, Ellis, Perry, Gemma, Cora, Henry, Bear, Evie, Lottie, and Tobias!
The family will host a visitation in Clyde’s honor from 6:00PM - 8:00PM on Friday, June 7 at The Church of the Bridegroom in Hope Mills. A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, June 8 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Oakridge Cemetery in Saint Pauls, NC.
