Obituary

Charlie Wayne Williams, 80, of Wade passed away on July 28, 2023.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Albert Campbell Williams, and his mother, Wilma Cain Williams. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Donna; daughters, Heidi, and Wendy; stepchildren, Chris, and Lora; grandchildren, Kate, Hunter, Braden, and Gracie; step grandchildren, Christopher, Cameron, Mary, Caleb, and Christian; sister, Rita and husband, Fred and many other relatives and friends.

Charlie touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family and friends meant the world to him. Charlie was well known as The Cookie Man, who never met a stranger.

A memorial service will be held on August 6, 2023, at Salem Methodist Church, 2165 Middle Rd. Eastover, NC, at 3 PM. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials may be sent to South River Community Church in Wade, NC, Salem Methodist Church, or The Red Cross in Charlie’s honor.
