Charles Edwin Taylor, Sr.

Charles Edwin Taylor, Sr., 74, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Charles was born in Tallassee, AL on December 21, 1949, to Joe and Maureen Taylor.

Charles is survived by his wife, Ortrud; his six children, Charles, Jr., Deborah, Brian, Andrew, Yuri and Wanja; and his 11 grandchildren, Padraig, Thomas, Jason, Minna, Alexander, Claire, Corbyn, Sabina, Noah, Samuel, and Kevin.

Charles had an upbeat personality and was a devoted husband, father, and patriot who deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home at 10 am on Monday, March 11, 2024. Following the memorial service, the Committal service will take place at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.
