Charles Alexander Dixon III, beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. His life was defined by devotion—to the people he cherished, the work he faithfully performed, and the passions that brought him joy.
Born with a natural love for the outdoors, Charlie felt most at peace with a fishing rod in hand, sitting quietly in a deer stand, or walking along the shoreline at the beach. Nature was his sanctuary, and he shared that love generously with those around him, creating memories that will be held close forever.
Charlie retired from Goodyear after an incredible 37 years of dedicated service. His strong work ethic, reliability, and steady presence made him a respected colleague and a valued member of the Goodyear family.
Beyond his career, Charlie served his community with heart. As an active member of the Massey Hill Lions Club, he served in multiple leadership roles, offering his time and talents to help others. His commitment did not go unnoticed—he received numerous awards for his service including multiple Lion of Year awards and the distinguished Jack Stickley award.
Charlie also had a gift for humor. He loved a good joke and never missed a chance to make people laugh. His quick wit and playful spirit brought joy to every room he entered, leaving behind countless stories and smiles.
Above all, Charlie cherished his family. He was a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, and a loyal brother. His kindness, humor, and unwavering support touched countless lives, and the legacy he leaves behind is one of generosity, strength, laughter, and love.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ottilie Dixon; sister, Karen Fields; and his beloved dog, Banjo.
He is survived by his father Charles Alexander Dixon II; wife, Julie; son, Charles Alexander Dixon IV; son, Kyle Allen Dixon and wife, Mari-Newton; grandsons Ryder Alexander Dixon and Wyatt Gray Dixon; sister Julie Dahl, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 1:45-2:45pm at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00pm in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Massey Hill Lions Club or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in honor of Charlie Dixon.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
