Charles Franklin Bell, age 86, passed away at his home in Fayetteville, NC, on August 1, 2025.
Born on February 4, 1939, in Washington, D.C. to his parents Charles Bell and Bertha Taylor, who preceded him in death. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his loving wife, Betty Bell; sons Rex Bell (Cathy), and Rocky Bell; grandson Rex Bell Jr.; sister Jennette Simons; and several beloved nieces and a nephew.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 26 years. His military career took him and his family across the globe, experiences he later captured in two books. After retiring from the Air Force, Charles continued to serve his community as a Time Warner technician in Fayetteville for 25 years.
Though he would rarely crack a smile he had a signature smirk that everyone knew and left behind memories of his dedication and discipline marked a lifetime of accomplishments, both in service and at home.
Charles was deeply loved and admired by his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, quiet humor, and devotion. He will be profoundly missed.
