Carolyn Garner Taylor

Carolyn Garner Taylor, 91, of Fayetteville passed away on March 21, 2023.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Evelyn Garner; sister, Gail Garner Bogan; son, Richard E. Taylor, III and her husband, Richard E. Taylor, Jr.. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Barefoot (William); adopted son, Charles N. Gill (Crystal); daughter in law, Renee Taylor; grandchildren, Kristie Godwin (Robert), Natasha Drews, and Luke Barefoot (Shannon); great grandchildren, Kristina Alexander (Gideon), Aiden Godwin, Tyler Godwin, Aubren Barefoot (Antonius), Quentin Walker, Avari Barefoot, Skylar Nottingham (Ethan), Joshua Shove, and Britten Drews; great great grandchildren, Jackson Alexander, Charlotte Alexander and one great great granddaughter on the way. Carolyn also leaves behind her siblings Barbara Kirby and David Garner, and a host of loving nieces and nephews and her special pet, Golden Boy.

Carolyn retired after many years of service at Belk’s Department Store in Tallywood and Cross Creek Mall.

The family will greet friends at Arran Lake Baptist Church from 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Monday, March 27th, 2023. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 Pm with Reverend Jeff  Isenhour officiating. Burial to follow the service at Lafayette Memorial Park.
