CW4 (Ret) John Paul Manning, 77, of Fayetteville NC passed away December 4, 2025.
He was born November 16, 1948, in Rochester, NY, to Ford & Arlene Manning.
John graduated from Lima High School in New York in 1966. Soon after graduation, he joined the Army where he furthered his education and received several master’s degrees in business education. He was a Vietnam Veteran and received many medals throughout his 21-year military career. He served 3 tours in Vietnam as well as Hawaii and Korea and retired at Fort Bragg, NC in 1988. After retirement, he started his own company, JPM Enterprises, and retired in 2018.
John is preceded in death by his parents and bonus son, Brian Parrish.
He is survived by the love of his life, Peggy Manning of the home. Three sons, Greg Manning, New York, John Manning, Jr (Julie) Ohio and Mark Manning (Rita) Rhode Island.
Brothers, Ronald Manning (Karin), New York and David Manning, Kentucky.
He adored his 5 grandchildren, Madison, Christopher, Zach (Cameron), Caitlin (Chris) & Nick (Maya).
A memorial service with full Military Honors will be held on December 30, 2025, at 12:30 pm with visitation at 11:30 at Fayetteville Community Church, 2010 Middle River Loop, Fayetteville, NC. A private burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery, Spring Lake NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the FCC Youth c/o Fayetteville Community Church 2010 Middle River Loop, Fayetteville NC 28312.
