Edward Daniel Jones, Jr., (CMSgt Retired), 87, passed away on October 4, 2023. Jones was a proud airman and soldier serving his country for 30 years in the US Air Force and US Army. His honors include: The Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal with two silver Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award with one silver oak leaf cluster and two bronze oak leaf clusters, National Defense Service Medal with one bronze star, Vietnam service medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medal with one silver and one bronze oak leaf cluster, and the US Army Parachutist Badge. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Hisako Jones; nephew, Brad Doll of Lehighton, PA.; and two nieces, Susan Shupp and Lorrie Shelly both of Lehighton, PA.
The family is grateful for the loving support of his dear friends - our angels on Earth.
A memorial service will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with SGI-USA Fayetteville, NC Chapter Leader Bennett Bortie presiding.
