Bryan Warby Myers

On August 14, 2024, Bryan Warby Myers passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on June 26, 1957, in Murray, Utah to Obra Art and Mary Louisa Myers. He married Katherine Adkins Myers on April 23, 1977, in Dillion, South Carolina.

Bryan was raised in Kearns, Utah, where he attended school. He was a highly active youngster with many friends in the neighborhood. There was always activity in the neighborhood where they played kickball and baseball. He enjoyed fishing and camping with his family.

At an early age, Bryan lost his best friend who lived next door. Shortly after his father passed away from his own battle with cancer. These were very trying times for Bryan, so he joined the Army.

Bryan served the 82nd Airborne proudly for over 20 years and served in Johnston Island Thailand, Bad Tölz Germany, Frankfurt Germany, and the Gulf War. He worked in chemical disposal systems and was a primary leader to his soldiers.

During Bryan and Katherine’s time living in Germany, they served as ordinance workers in the Switzerland Temple. In 1987, they were able to attend the Frankfurt Temple dedication. In attendance was President Benson and Elder Uchtdorf whom they shook hands with and sat with. This is a memory they will cherish forever. Bryan also served as Bishop while in Germany.

Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Obra Art and Mary Louisa Myers. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Katherine Myers; children, Dovie Myers Paschall, Jonathan (Sherri) Myers, Vanessa (Tim) Smith, Michael (April) Myers, and Angelina (Cody) Salyers; his eleven grandchildren and his niece, Tiffany Thomas.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints LDS, 9701 Cliffdale Road, Fayetteville, NC, 28304. The Viewing is from 10 to 10:45 am. A funeral service will be held at 11 am with Bishop Henson officiating. Burial to follow the service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with military honors.
