Brenda “Kay” Karen (Jones) Tew

Brenda “Kay” Karen Tew, age 76, peacefully passed away on November 18, 2023.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Ruben, and Helen Jones; her spouse, William "Cush" Tew; her brother, Efton "Ace" Jones; and her sister, Joyce Bryant. She is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Lucas Hair, and spouse James Michael Hair; her daughter, Michelle Tew Pottorff, and spouse Sean Elijah Pottorff; her grandson, Brandon Lencall, and spouse Katherine Lencall; her grandson, Tyler Hair, and spouse Kayla Hair; her grandson, Joey Wilson, and spouse BrieAnne Wilson; her granddaughter, Lauren Wilson; as well as her great-grandchildren Reagan Lencall, Hadley Lencall, Cayden Lencall, Sophia Wilson, and Trevor Wilson.

Brenda “Kay” Tew was born in Kinston, North Carolina on December 26, 1946, and moved to Fayetteville, NC, at the age of 5. She dedicated forty years of her life to Black and Decker and later spent four years at the Clinton Family Worship Center.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at Clinton Family Worship Center at 12 PM, officiated by Pastor Lynn Blackburn. Following the service, Brenda will be laid to rest at Lafayette Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be sent to the National Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org, in honor of Brenda.
