Billie Paroli Obituary

Billie Dove Paroli (nee Beddard), age 93, died peacefully at home with her family on March 18, 2021. She was the beloved wife for 67 years of Bob Paroli, loving mother of Tony (Pam) Paroli, Michael (Wendy) Paroli and Terri (Thomas) Koesters. Also survived by and lovingly called “Mungie” by her eight grandchildren: Chris, Will, Jessica, Rosie, John, Tori, Tommy and Gina.

Billie was born in Dover, NC on February 17,1928. After relocating to Raleigh, she graduated from Hugh M Morrison High School in 1946 and later attended Peace College. She began her career as an employee of the city of Raleigh and later served in the field of public education, retiring in1995 after 25 years.

Billie had a life-long passion for the beach but also loved walking, reading, traveling, eating, and shopping. She walked 6 days a week for 41 years. She frequently enjoyed sipping an evening glass of wine and staying abreast of world events. Billie had especially fond memories of her years of travel after retirement and spoke often about her visits to Hawaii, New York, Myrtle Beach, and California.

Billie was also blessed with a deep faith. Since 1980, she was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She loved lighting a candle after Mass on Sunday and attending Thursday morning Mass with her grandchildren. Embodied in her faith was an unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Billie had a great dedication to her husband’s profession of coaching football and was a mainstay in the stands on Friday nights for over 55 years. Billie always stayed in touch with those she loved. She was always inquiring about the welfare of others. Making phone calls, leaving wonderful voicemails, and sending greeting cards to her loved ones on holidays or birthdays was always special. She loved the Hallmark store and singing her birthday tune.

Billie's greatness as a person was her ability to be grateful for the simple blessings in life. She was a wonderful source of humility, inspiration and joy. She lived a long, loving and faithful life. Her influence on earth will endure forever in the people who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 2844 Village Dr, Fayetteville, NC on Wednesday, March 24 at 1:00 pm. The family will receive visitors from 12:00-12:45pm at the church.
