Beverly Faye Culbreth Huckabee, 59, slipped into eternity on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at Betsy Johnson Hospital surrounded by her family. She was ushered into the presence of The Lord to the sound of her favorite gospel songs.
Beverly was born in Fayetteville NC on April 29th, 1965, to Arthur and Lucy Culbreth.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lucy, a sister Diane Culbreth and a granddaughter, Adalynn.
Beverly is survived by a son, Kenneth (Sonya) of Angier NC; a daughter, Crystal (Matthew) of Stedman NC; and a stepdaughter, Jennifer (Mike) of Hope Mills NC; stepmother, Judy Culbreth; one brother, Gereald Culbreth; 5 sisters; Angela Autry, Glenda Hern, Marcie Byrd, Susan Howard, and Coleen Windom.
Mama Proudly held the title of “World’s Greatest Grandma” to her 8 grandchildren: Evan, Caleb, Rodney, Noah, Lila-Mae, Elisha, Eli and Jayden. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces and nephews, as well as a very special friend, Michael Hair.
Beverly was a very simple, Kind and easy to please person on the surface who loved to laugh and cut up, but those great qualities were paired with a deep-rooted love for worshiping the Lord, her God. Mama was often found accompanied by a grandchild or two, which spoke to her love for all children, including the ones she ministered to as a Sunday school teacher.
Her career spanned from textile work to hospital administration, but above all, the jobs she excelled in most were being a housewife and mother. Mama taught us that in all things in life, we try to do our very best and give it our all because quitting isn't an option. Beverly was never seen without a cold can of Mountain Dew, and a butterfly on her apparel somewhere as she loved them, clinging to the promise that a butterfly was a heavenly visit from her mama.
Beverly loved being a part of the church family at The Well International Christian Church, where she could be found any given Sunday on the back row with her hands raised in worship during service. Although her life on earth has ended, her life in glory has just begun!
The family will receive friends on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 2 to 2:45 pm. A homegoing celebration will be held at 3 pm in the chapel.
