Beverly Holmes Berry, 99, met his Lord and savior on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 after a
brief illness. Bev was born in Clinton, NC on June 15, 1926, as the third “Berry boy” of

He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Hazel (Britt) Berry.
Bev is survived by his son, Pete (Margaret) Berry of Wilmington, NC, his daughter,
Beverly (Ken) of Overland Park, KS and his son, Joe (Audrey) of Fayetteville, NC. He
dearly loved his nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and one great-great
grandchild.
Bev was founder and president of Berry Shoes, Inc. and served the Fayetteville, Clinton
and Wilmington areas for thirty years. Bev was a lifelong, active member of Baywood
Pentecostal Holiness Church, formerly Person Street IPCH. He most recently attended
Northwood Temple with his son’s family. Bev and his wife were active members of
Gideon’s International for many years. In early retirement, Bev divided his time
between the golf course and delivering vehicles for local dealerships. Bev was a
talented soloist and often blessed others with his beautiful bass voice.
