Betty Jean (Zimmerman) Futch

Betty Jean Futch, 91, passed away on March 28, 2026. 

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Keith A. Futch, her parents, three sisters, and two brothers. 

Betty is survived by her children, Tony (Carla) Futch, Rodney Futch, Renee (Mike) Martin; her grandchildren, Brittany Futch and fiancé, JC McFadyen, Jacob Martin, Grayson Martin, all of Fayetteville, NC, and Tara (Robert) Martin Chapman, of Little Mountain, SC; and several nieces and nephews. 

Growing up on a farm in Carthage, NC, meant that Betty knew the meaning of hard work. She graduated from Farm Life High School. Betty married Keith Futch and spent 69 years together before his passing. Their travels took them to Germany, Okinawa, and Massachusetts. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with her family. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on April 4, 2026 at Rogers & Breece Funeral Home with Larry Chason officiating. Prior to the service, the family will be greeting friends and guests from 12:30pm – 1:15pm. Betty will be laid to rest following the services at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
