Betty Hunt Cooper

Betty Hunt Cooper, 77 years old, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Betty was born April 30, 1945, in Lumberton to the late Hector Hunt and Mary Gladys (Maynor) Hunt.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Lloyd, Diane, and Welford Hunt, and by her daughter, Ashley Brooke Cooper.

Betty is surrived by her husband, Charles Fletcher Cooper, Jr. of Fayetteville; her daughter, Adena Cooper Syfrett (Eric) of Durham; her brothers, Charles Hunt (Pam) of Conway, SC, and Victor Hunt (Barbara) of Fayetteville; her sister, Cindy Hunt of Manassas, VA, and granddaughters, Sarah Beth and Elena Syfrett, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Les Maxwell High School, Betty attended beauty school and worked as a hairstylist, she then worked for Pilot Life Insurance Company, followed by a long career in sales with Tarts TV and Appliances and Circuit City. Betty was a beloved wife, celebrating 56 years of marriage with Charles. She also loved being a mother to her two daughters and later Mimi to her two granddaughters. She was a committed woman of prayer, and generous and loving to everyone with whom she came in contact.

A visitation service will be held from 1 to 2 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home.
