Betty (Smith) Bryant

Betty Bryant, 89 years old, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Mary Smith; her husband, James Bryant; son, Tommy Bryant, daughter in law, Marsha Bryant; and her siblings, Charlotte Madden, Roy Smith, Ruth Kellam, Mary Jo Smith, and JB Smith. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Tammie Brookens; son, Stewart Bryant; son in law, Gary Brookens; siblings, Vera Allen, Waylon Smith, and Buck Smith; her 4 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Betty shared a loving marriage of 53 years with her husband, James. She was a devoted mother to Tammie and Stewart, along with her chihuahua, Daisy. Her endless love for her family was apparent through all the photos displayed in her home of her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. 

Betty loved the beach, cruises, going in the pool, and spending time with family and friends. She was a longtime member of Gethsemane Baptist Church where she loved worshiping and serving the Lord. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home from 12:45 to 1:45 pm. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm in the Rogers and Breece Chapel with Pastor J.D. Tew officiating. Burial to follow at Lafayette Memorial Park.
