Barbara E. (Holmes) Now

Barbara E. Now, 84, went to be with our lord and savior on Monday, July 10, 2023, with her loving daughter by her side. Barbara was born in Liverpool, England to the late John and Gertrude Holmes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Now; her brothers, John, David, and Charlie; and sister, Rose.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Cindy Now Viglione (Bennie); three grandchildren, Desiree Ivey Lewis (Jeff), Brandon Ivey (Nicole), Danielle Now (Alex Dillo); four great-grandchildren, Alexandria Ivey, Branden Lewis, Justin Lewis and Jadyen Dillo; and many nieces and nephews in the USA and England.

Barbara married Robert and moved to the United States in 1960. Barbara loved her native England and was a tremendous patriot of her adopted United States. She was an avid fan of the GreeenBay Packers and Liverpool FC. She enjoyed trips to the mountains and Las Vegas. For 44 years she was the face and voice of Wiener Works. Her sunny disposition and infectious laugh endeared her to everyone that met her. She never met a stranger and was a friend and “MUM” to so many. But her pride and joy were her family; she was a fantastic mom and nanny (The Nanster).

A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00pm with Brother Larry Chason officiating.
