Anita Griffin, born on April 28, 1946, in Germany, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 79 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and love for family will forever be remembered.
Anita was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James Griffin. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, family, and faith. She is survived by her children: James Griffin, Diana Morrison and her husband Michael Morrison, Tameka Griffin, Mario Schmidt, and Elvira Nicholson. Though their paths in life were different, they were all deeply loved by their mother.
She is also survived by her brother, Gunther, who resides in Germany. Despite the miles between them, their bond remained strong throughout the years.
Anita was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who reside in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia, brought her endless joy. She cherished every moment with them — from family gatherings to quiet conversations filled with love and wisdom.
Anita made Fayetteville, NC her home for many years. She was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was the heart of her home — a woman of compassion, resilience, and grace, always ready to help others and offer comforting words.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family unity. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
“Those we love never truly leave us. They live on in the kindness they shared, the wisdom they passed down, and the love they left behind in our hearts. Though Anita is no longer with us in this life, her spirit will always be felt in the warmth of a family gathering, the laughter of her grandchildren, and the gentle strength she taught us. Her love remains our guiding light, now and always.”
