Obituary

Angelo “AJ” Travis Woodell, 53, passed away on May 23, 2023.

Angelo was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Jeffcoat and Katie Christine Jeffcoat; his father, Angelo Travis Woodell, Sr.; and father-in-law, Bryon Benson. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Ginger Woodell; children, Samantha Woodell and Ashley Woodell Howell of Fayetteville; parents, Elizabeth, and John Bolton; sister, Pamela Woodell and Kevin Carter; brother-in-laws, Christopher Benson, and Brian Benson; grandchild, Alexandria Rae Howell; nieces, Elizabeth Grace Carter, Kaylee Benson, Laura Dahlving and Lisa Dahlving; nephew, Justin Mott; aunt, Pearl Harris; and sister in laws, Brenda Mott, and Teresa Dahlvig.

Angelo was born in Cumberland County in 1970. He was a hard working family man. Angelo was in the newspaper business for over thirty years, recently working with the Fayetteville Observer.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 11 AM at Cross Creek Cemetery #3 with Reverend Archie Barringer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Samantha Woodell at 1793 Geiberger Drive Fayetteville, NC 28303.
