Amada Aquino was born to Gustavo Garcia and Lucrecia Roman on August 22, 1964 in the Dominican Republic. On January 13, 2020 at the age of 55, Amada departed this life.
Amada attended high school and college in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Amada was married to Victor M. Aquino on December 20, 1986 and they were blessed with two children Victor E. Aquino and Guillermo M. Aquino.
Throughout the years Amada developed a passion for children. She attended Fayetteville Technical Community College and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Later becoming a Program Trainer and Curriculum Specialist at Fort Bragg, NC.
Amada was employed for 25 years and was respected and loved by everyone. She was determined and dedicated worker who was willing to assist anyone in need. Amada’s quiet, but strong leadership, words of encouragement and compassion for others will be truly missed.
Amada survived by her mother, two sisters: Iris and Ana, one brother: Sergio of New York; two sons: Victor (Shannon) of Texas and Guillermo (Kaylee) of Virginia; and six grandchildren: Emmanuel “Manny” J. Aquino, Victor E. Aquino, Victoria C. Aquino, Samson E. Aquino, Tyrion K. Aquino and Luna I. Aquino.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 2:30 pm. in Rogers and Breece Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service from 3:00 to 4:30 pm at the funeral home.
