Sarah Frances (West) Powell

Mrs. Sarah Frances (West) Powell, 86 of Sneads Ferry passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Powell, Jr.; her parents, Wilbert Lloyd West and Ella Brock West; her brothers, Wilbert Roberson West, Hoyet Ray West, Earl Clifford West and Winford Landon West; a granddaughter, Erin Michelle Abbott; and a son-in-law, Thomas Michael Abbott.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Dava Marie Abbott of Wake Forest, Sara Lynn Lucas and husband, George of Fayetteville and Susan Denise Benson and husband, Stan of Greensboro; grandchildren, David Michael Abbott, Megan Rebecca Abbott and partner, Justin Masterman, Matthew Eugene Benson, Shelby Elyse Bowers and husband, Adam and Kelsey Elizabeth Benson; great grandchildren, Forrest Ollie Masterman, Dylan Harper Masterman and Briar Ann Masterman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, September 16, 2017 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery Fayetteville.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
