Retired Sgt. Major James David Busby

Retired Sgt. Major James David Busby, 84, of Fayetteville passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017.

Mr. Busby was retired with 26 years of service with the US Army Special Forces 5th Group. He was the owner and operator of Custom Decks and Building Company.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Busby of the home; a daughter, Donna Kolenski (Kenneth) of Smyrna, Tenn.; sons, Bradley Busby (Jamie) Hope Mills, Richard Busby and Kreg Busby of Smyrna, David Busby (Larkin), Danny Busby and Paul Busby all of Missouri; sisters, Bobbie Sue Miller of Cali., Mary Faye Swhela of Missouri and Elvia Tucker of Tenn.; a brother, John Paul Busby of Lousiana; two step-daughters, Robin New of Fayetteville and Chauntel Steele of New York; as well as 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Mr. Busby was a loving husband, father, brother and a friend to all.
