Raymond Davis, 76, was called from labor to reward on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
Mr. Davis was born to Raymond Levine and Myrtle Catherine Dortch (Davis) on January 13, 1943 and adopted by the late Rev. Guilford K. Davis. He was a native of Wayne County, NC. Raymond served in the United States Army for 13 years where he was stationed at Fort Bragg. During his service he served as "Master sergeant".
He was preceded in death by his parents and three of his siblings, Joyce Marie Davis (Jones), Harrell L. Richardson, and Vernon Lee Davis.
He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Davis; his children, Stacy Jackson, Jerri Davis, Quinton Davis, and Claudia Davis; his siblings, Betty Jean Davis, Vivian Thibou, Iris Robinson, Timothy Davis, Lonnie Davis and Gary Davis; and his grandchildren, Elijah Davis, Isaiah Davis, Quanisha Davis, Marissa Frances Jackson, Jerimiah Davis, Je’noir Davis, Ja’Mont Smith, and Ja’Meiha Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8pm on Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home, located at 500 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
