My deepest condolences to the McGirt family,
May you find some comfort in the Gift that the Most High God has given us, yes His written word the Bible (Psalms 83:18 & 2Timothy 3:16).
I would like to share a few Scriptures that helped us to cope when our precious daughter died and recently my beloved husband of 50 years fell asleep in death: (Isaiah 25:8)swallow up death, (Isaiah 33:24)no more sickness, (John 5:28, 29)seeing loved ones again, (2Corinthians 1:3). Yes, God can comfort us, to deal with present situations. But, He also says where we can see our loved ones again at Psalms 37:11 and how long Psalms 37:29.
I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.
My sincere sympathy,
Sissy

Dear Linda,
On behalf of the North Carolina Driver and Traffic Safety Education Association and from me personally, I would like to let you know that the entire state Driver Education association mourn with you and your family. Phil was indeed a "once in a lifetime friend and colleague". May his soul and the souls of all of the faithful departed, by the mercies of God, rest in perfect and eternal peace, and may he one day rise in glory. Always remember that "God will take care of you". My prayer for you is that God will give you the strength to navigate through this rough spot along this road of life.
Sincerely,
Connie Sessoms, Jr.

Family of Philip McGirt, Jr.,
There are few things more difficult than experiencing the loss of a loved one. It is apparent from the kind expressions that Mr. McGirt, Jr., will be sadly missed. I too have endured such a loss and find comfort in knowing death was not God’s purpose for mankind and his purpose has not changed.
God’s word says 'death is an enemy' and promises it will be 'brought to nothing'. (1Corinthians 15:26) Further, “He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces”. (Isaiah 25:8). So, God guarantees the grief and sorrow we experience is temporary. (Revelation 21:4). It is because of Jehovah God’s purpose and great love for us, that he guarantees the restoration of life.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life...” ( John 11:25) As you know, Jesus not only spoke of the coming resurrection (John 5:21, 28, 29), he himself was resurrected by his Father and performed many miracles including resurrections. All resurrections took place on earth giving us a precious glimpse of what is to come.......seeing our loved ones again! (Acts 24:15)
As you cherish the many fond memories of Mr. McGirt, Jr., may Jehovah God continue to bless your family during this difficult time and in the days to come......
