Mary Lee Peaden

Mary L Peaden, 84, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019. She was born on June 12, 1935 in Pitt County.

She was a loving Mother and MiMi and loved to cook for her family. She along with her husband of 54 years opened and operated Peaden’s Seafood and Catering in Eureka Springs where she worked until retirement. She loved to watch tennis, especially Roger Federer and loved to watch the Carolina Tarheels.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R Peaden Sr.; her Mother and Father, Lonnie and Pearl Brown; her brother, Wesley Brown; and her sister, Doris Canan.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Peaden and wife, Mary, Ricky Peaden and wife, Tove; her sisters, Christine Lloyd and Lucille Scott; her brother, Lonnie Brown, Jr; four grandchildren, Jimmy Peaden III and wife, Shannon, Christel Filak and husband, Jeff, John Peaden, and Grant Peaden; seven great grandchildren, Madison, Rylee, and Jimmy Peaden IV, Noah, Elle, Jeff, and Aniston Filak; and many nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to her caregiver, Janet Aldoph.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 6 at Rogers and Breece Chapel at 4:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 2:45 until 3:45 prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
