Marjorie “Marge” Allene Kiefer Romine passed away peacefully in her sleep at Carolina Inn in Fayetteville on Monday, December 24, 2018.
She was born in Oklahoma to Julius George Kiefer and Helen Inez Allen Kiefer and grew up in the Depression era in Kansas.
Marge was a proud veteran of the Navy in WWII, she served as a pharmacist mate where she met her future husband, John T. Romine. She worked as a microbiologist at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland until her retirement.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Frances R. Kelly and Janis S. Stone; a sister, Helen Frances Kiefer Fowler; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Her interests include singing, especially Irish music, and doting on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware.
The family would like to thank those at Carolina Inn and Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
