Maria Averitt Obituary

Mrs. Maria Louise Averitt, 73 of Fayetteville passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019.

She is survived by her husband, James D. Averitt of the home; two sons, Robert Lynn Averitt of Fayetteville and Vincent Morris and wife, Eva of Chicago, Ill.; a step-son, Bobby Wayne Averitt of Fayetteville; a step-daughter, Jennifer Marie Dotson and husband, Richard of Fayetteville; one grandson, Kyle Longnecker and wife, Alexandria of DuBois, Pa.; and two great granddaughters, Anya Longnecker and Ava Marie Longnecker.

Maria worked for over 43 years as an accountant for Superior Land Clearing and Grading. She loved to bowl and enjoyed socializing with her friends. Maria will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

The family will receive friend from 7 pm to 9 pm Monday, March 18, 2019 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, March 19, 2019 in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home with Rev. G.C. Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 3934 Sunnyside School Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28312.
