Gladys Bryant (Bryant) Jones

Gladys Bryant Jones was born December 17, 1944 in Cumberland County to the late Willie I. Bryant and Ethel Lewis Bryant. She died Monday morning, September 11, 2017 surrounded by family at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after an extended illness.

Gladys retired from Merrill Lynch in Fayetteville after many years of service. Throughout her life, Gladys was always a loving, kind and generous person. She possessed a strong faith in God and was dedicated to her family.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert I. Bryant and C. Edward Bryant; and sister, Ruby Bryant Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory is two sons, Kenneth H. Boggs and wife, Denise of Roseboro and Gary E. Boggs and wife, Donna of Eastover; four sisters, Evelyn Chapman of Fayetteville, Alma Mandel of Hope Mills, Virginia Ashcraft of Fayetteville and Nancy Thomkins of Hope Mills; two brothers, Willie Bryant, Jr. of N. Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Horace Bryant of Michigan; four grandchildren, Jordan Boggs of Dunn, Alex Boggs, Sierra Boggs, both of Roseboro and Rio Dunn of Eastover; and two great grandchildren, Caiden Boggs and Colton Boggs.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in Crystal Springs Chapel 1465 Crystal Springs Rd. Fayetteville.  A funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in Crystal Springs Chapel with burial to follow in Lafayette Memorial Park West Cemetery.
