Dorothy "Dot" Spake Obituary

Dorothy "Dot" Davis Spake, 88 of Eastover went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 17, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger A. Spake; her parents, Coy F. Davis and Alma Davis; her sisters, Addie Long, Norene Sorrells and Lillian Blanchard; and brothers, Raymond Davis, Ralph Davis and Earl Davis.

Dot was a dedicated Avon Representative for 20 years and she also retired from Black and Decker. She was a member of Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church in Eastover.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bunce (Bennie) of Eastover; three sons, Arley Spake (Janice) of Gulfport, Miss., Michael Spake of Eastover and Dana Spake (Myra) of Eastover; three brothers, Bobby Davis of Hampton, Va., Johnny "JP" Long of Fayetteville and Talmage "TP" Davis of Selma; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

The family appreciates the love and care shown to Mom by her friends and the staff at Heritage Place.

A funeral service will be held at 3 pm Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Baywood Pentecostal Holiness Church in Eastover with burial to follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 pm to 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church
